Job summary

Westview YMCA in Bennington, NE is seeking a Part Time Personal Trainer to design and lead individual and group sessions in a welcoming environment. You will promote safety, client care, and community engagement across all fitness levels.

Qualified candidates will have college coursework in Exercise Science or related field and a current trainer certification; you will collaborate with Health & Wellness staff and participate in ongoing trainings. Flexible schedule and YMCA benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold current nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification from approved organization
• Two or more years of college, pursuing a degree in Exercise Science or related health field
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent customer service and general office skills
• Ability to communicate verbally to groups and individuals of varying fitness levels and ages
• Complete YMCA cause & culture training before first shift; fitness-specific training; abuse prevention training

Responsibilities

• Design safe and effective exercise programs based on client goals and needs.
• Maintain professionalism and client rapport while promoting health and wellness.
• Manage client records and maintain confidentiality.
• Educate clients about fitness and wellness principles.
• Actively participate in department meetings and trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
