Job summary

APPS is seeking dependable, experienced Phlebotomists and Medical Assistants to perform mobile examinations for life and disability insurance applications. This is a flexible part-time opportunity that can fit around your current schedule, offering the ability to choose your availability and appointments.

As an independent 1099 contractor, you will travel to clients within approximately 30 miles of your home ZIP code, completing basic exams in 15–45 minutes.

Qualifications

• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills.
• Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar clinical experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Smartphone and basic computer skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own appointments.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• EKG experience is helpful but not required - training is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic health screenings and medical histories.
• Measure height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and other required measurements.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and occasionally saliva specimens.
• Perform EKGs when required — training is provided.
• Accurately complete examination paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Prepare specimens for shipment and ensure they are shipped within 24 hours of collection.
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients in their homes, workplaces, or other convenient locations.
