Job summary

Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support campus dining operations. You will collect dirty dishes, operate the dish-washing machine, and distribute cleaned items to various areas. Flexible scheduling with both 1st and 2nd shifts available, up to 24 hours per week, with interviews starting mid-July and start dates in mid-August.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Gathers items from the servery and kitchen for disposal or washing.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in racks.
Sets up, loads and operates the dish-washing machine.
Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand.
Distributes all utensils, china, silverware, and pots to appropriate areas after washing.
Washes worktables, walls, and work areas.
Sweeps and mops floors.
Picks up, segregates and bags trash and garbage and removes all trash and rubbish to designated areas.
Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
Performs other duties as assigned.
