Job summary

Harry Meyering Center, Inc. invites applications for a Part‑Time Direct Support Professional. You will support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities at home and in the community, helping them live fuller, more independent lives with a flexible part‑time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Valid United States driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
• Prior CNA/PCA/healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for individuals in a meaningful and individualized way.
• Assist with personal cares and daily activities.
• Engage in community activities (e.g., bowling, shopping, movies, exercise).
• Complete daily direct care tasks (bathing, toileting, feeding, dressing).
• Perform household chores (cooking, cleaning, laundry).
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all communications.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
