Job summary

Allied Community Care in Laurel, Maryland, is looking for a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one in-home and community support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and community activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to diverse needs and follow detailed plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, meal preparation, light household tasks, and basic skill-building support.
• Encourage social engagement and community participation.
• Follow individualized support plans and goals for each person.
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents.
