Job summary

Ardmore Enterprises in Maryland is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for PRN roles across multiple locations in Prince George's & Montgomery Counties. The position offers a part-time schedule with a pay rate of $22 USD per hour.

The DSP will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, participate in the community, and reach personal goals through person-centered care and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
• Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
• Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
• Actively plans, coordinates, and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
• Instructs, supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.
