Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking part-time Chef Instructors to lead hands-on cooking classes for children and older adults across our service area in New Jersey. The role offers daytime and after-school hours with a flexible schedule and full support from our team.

Instructors will use provided curriculum and sweeten sessions with engaging, age-appropriate teaching methods. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, punctual, and capable of adapting their approach to different age groups.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach hands-on cooking classes to kids and older adults.
• Willingness to travel up to 60 minutes to teaching locations.
• Must pass state and FBI background checks as a condition of employment.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs for equipment and supplies.
• Arrive 15–20 minutes early as required by venue.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for children and adults in various settings.
• Adapt pacing and language to suit different age groups.
• Create connection and foster creativity and community through cooking experiences.
• Stay organized by preparing for sessions, shopping for ingredients, and setting up and breaking down classrooms.
