Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner-PRN to join the Kingman Inpatient Crisis and Recovery unit. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating the mental health needs of patients in an inpatient setting.

Under supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, you will conduct initial assessments, manage medications, and participate in discharge planning, family meetings, and risk assessments. Flexibility in schedule is required.

Qualifications

• PMHNP with ANCC certification is required.
• Arizona RN/NP licensure plus DEA certificate required.
• 1+ year of experience delivering mental health treatment to adults.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric initial assessments and medication monitoring.
• Coordinate care with care teams; participate in daily rounds and handoffs.
• Provide Telemed services for outpatient and inpatient clinics.
• Complete documentation (labs, EHR, EKGs, progress notes) daily.
• Assist with admissions and discharge planning; participate in trainings as needed.
