Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neurorehabilitation in Kyle-Buda, TX seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist for a flexible/PRN primary therapist role. You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage discharge planning, delivering real-life functional rehabilitation in home, school, work, or community settings.

You’ll work autonomously within a collaborative team of therapists, with 1:1 in-person sessions and indirect documentation from home, plus continuity from eval to discharge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the state where practicing.
• Current CPR Certification.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses (preferred).
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Moving, lifting, or transferring patients up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family members.
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.
