Job summary

Medical Director Services seeks compassionate Optometrists to provide comprehensive optometric care in Skilled Nursing Facilities nationwide. You can work one day a week, several days, or full-time; we supply the patients, coordinate the schedule, and handle the billing so you can focus on patient care.

You will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribe eyewear, and conduct diabetic eye evaluations with glaucoma screening.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution, licensed in the state of employment.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• New graduates welcome; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and routine vision evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and corrective measures.
• Perform diabetic eye evaluations and glaucoma/cataract screening.
• Document in facility EMR systems and coordinate with ophthalmology when needed.
