Job summary

Concentra is seeking a hand surgeon to come on site as a 1099 independent contractor for a half-day weekly or biweekly schedule. The role complements your current practice and focuses on managing medically complex cases, reducing time to return to work, and coordinating with medical and therapy teams.

Responsibilities include providing both non-surgical and surgical hand services for work-related injuries, participating in case management, and communicating with employers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of practice.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hand Surgery.
• Medical Malpractice Insurance sufficient for on-site coverage.
• Preferred experience with work-related injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand surgery services on site as part of a 1099 independent contractor role.
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers to manage complex cases and facilitate return to work.
• Support flexible scheduling, balancing with your private practice.
• Operate on a revenue-share compensation model as described by Concentra.
