Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited school/college.
• Licensed to practice optometry in California, current and in good standing.
• 1+ years of experience as an Optometrist.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye examinations; diagnose visual and ocular conditions; treat visual disorders through corrective lenses, vision training, or pharmacological interventions within scope of practice.
• Identify when specialty care is needed and coordinate referrals; provide patient education and consultation to physician staff as needed.
• Emphasize routine eye care and prevention, including diabetic retinopathy screening and care using available equipment and resources.
• Verify the accuracy and quality of prescription lenses before dispensing; maintain EHR documentation and patient confidentiality.
