Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the Silvis Campus NICU team. The role involves independent neonatal assessment and treatment under pediatric supervision, covering level II NICU services and deliveries at MercyOne Genesis in Silvis, Illinois.

The position emphasizes high-quality patient care, ongoing education, and active participation in policies and procedures within the Birth Center, with a flexible in-house schedule.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited NNP program.
• NNP Certification.
• Unrestricted State of Illinois License.
• Experience in a NICU for a minimum of two years.
• Comfort working independently with level II NICU coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, evaluation, and treatment of neonates under pediatrician supervision.
• Attend high-risk deliveries, resuscitation, and stabilization of newborns.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Write orders for meds, IV therapy, and admissions/discharges.
• Contribute to nursing education and competency assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement and policy development in LDRP Birth Center.
