The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is seeking an MSS Program Aide to join our multi-site support team in New York. This role supports 30+ residential and program sites, providing flexible, on-demand staffing across shifts and duties.

You may work as a Personal Care Assistant, Porter, Kitchen Aide, or Program Aide, with opportunities to gain experience across sites. Hours vary based on need and candidate availability; per diem appointments can lead to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• Able to work in multicultural and diverse environment.
• Able to speak, read, and write English.
• Experience working with dependent persons.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the personal hygiene and physical well-being of residents.
• Monitor residents to ensure they eat meals regularly.
• Assist residents in dining, activities, and social participation.
• Escort residents to medical appointments and hospital visits as directed.
• Assist kitchen staff with meal prep, serving, and cleanup.
• Support housekeeper/porter and participate in recycling and laundry tasks.
• Run errands to stores, clinics, and offices as directed.
• Monitor safety and security of building/residents; staff front desk as needed.
• Communicate issues to supervisor, report resident progress and needs.
