Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 month Medical Assisting program from an accredited school.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Data entry at 80 keystrokes per minute required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate and implement patient care.
• Records patient history for medical staff review.
• Performs measurements and screenings per protocol (height, weight, BP, etc.).
• Collects specimens including blood draws and assists in collection of specimens.
• May perform electrocardiograms as ordered.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures and manages supplies.
• Maintains examination rooms and stocks supplies; ensures data is recorded accurately.
• Processes insurance forms and maintains medical records.
• Performs related duties as required.
