American Family Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Bakersfield outpatient clinic. The role supports licensed providers, performs vitals, patient prep, and explains procedures during visits, with emphasis on accuracy and compassionate care.

You will handle lab work, specimen collection, phlebotomy tasks if trained, maintain rooms and documentation, and cross-train for front desk as needed. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends on a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• BLS certification required.
• Available to work day/night shifts, weekdays/weekends.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides general medical care under licensed provider supervision.
• Take vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patient for exam.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and quality controls.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation and prep exam rooms.
• Cross-train for front desk when needed.
