Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a flexible RN with Medical-Surgical experience to provide high-quality nursing care across assigned units. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

You will document in EMR, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning while rotating across units as needed. An ADN/BSN, BLS, ACLS as required, and 1 year of M-S experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in state of practice.
• Graduate of ADN or BSN program
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
• Minimum 1 year Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of acute care nursing, medication administration, patient assessment, and post-operative care
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in different Medical-Surgical units

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Provide direct nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients with acute conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and responses to treatment
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
• Float between Medical-Surgical units as assigned to meet staffing needs
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety standards, and facility policies
• Participate in rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities
