Houchens Food Group, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Meat department. You will prepare, cut, store, and serve meat products, ensuring quality and freshness while following safety standards.

Entry level friendly with no experience required; flexible shifts and opportunities to learn. You will work under the Meat Manager, help maintain displays and inventory, and provide friendly service to customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior meat-cutting experience required.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food distribution and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Clean and sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain coolers, cases and displays by keeping them stocked.
• Give all customers friendly, courteous, and prompt service.
• Maintain good communication with the meat manager.
• Record all hours worked and verify time tickets.
• Inventory and order to control shrink.
• Ensure meat coolers and cases are at proper temperatures.
• Rotate product and ensure safety procedures.
