Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center Marlton is seeking a patient Math Tutor to help students in Grade 5 and above reach their potential in a supportive, student-centered setting.

You will conduct one-on-one or small group sessions, assess needs, reinforce pre-algebra to geometry concepts, track progress, and work with center directors to align with personalized learning plans. Join a team dedicated to learner confidence and success.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in middle school math and above.
• Minimum three years of tutoring, teaching, or mentoring preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents.
• Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one or small group math tutoring for Grade 5+.
• Assess student needs and adapt instructional strategies.
• Reinforce core math concepts including pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry.
• Track and document student progress and share updates with Center Director.
• Create a positive, encouraging learning environment and build student confidence.
• Collaborate with center directors to align tutoring with each student's personalized learning plan.
