Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care across Mercy Hospital St. Louis and surrounding facilities. The LPN will float between locations, work various shifts, and participate in the Gig Nursing Program with scheduling flexibility and no guaranteed hours.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited LPN program, and active licensure in the hiring state. IV certification is required, with a focus on safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; must maintain LPN license in the hiring state.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process under supervision.
• Float between Mercy Hospital facilities as assigned (St Louis and surrounding communities).
• Participation in the Gig Nursing Program with scheduling obligations and potential last-minute shift cancellations.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality; ensure safe, quality care across departments (BH, ED, ICU, MS).
