Job summary

Andover YMCA Community Center is seeking certified lifeguards to supervise the pool area and ensure member safety. The role offers flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours with a typical shift of 3–4 hours.

Salary is $16.50 per hour with a pay/benefits package varying by part-time status, including a free Y membership and other benefits. Minimum age is 15, and certifications must be kept current.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older.
• Current nationally accredited lifeguard certification.
• Current BLS/CPR + AED for the Professional Rescuer.
• First Aid certification required.
• Oxygen Administration certification within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the aquatics area to prevent accidents and assist swimmers.
• Respond to emergencies and perform first aid as needed.
• Enforce pool policies and guidelines for safety.
• Attend monthly in-service trainings.
