Job summary

The PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant at Life Care Centers of America provides direct rehab care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

You will implement treatment plans, document progress, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient mobility and quality of life. New grads welcome; CPR required; active state license.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT) or equivalent.
Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state; active license in good standing.
One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Liaises with patients, families, and departments to plan for patient needs.
Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times.
Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
Familiar with post-acute care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Implements and interprets department programs, goals, and procedures.
Maintains patient rights, safety, and sanitation; professional relationships and confidentiality.
