Job summary

KidStrong Mississippi is seeking part-time coaches to lead developmentally appropriate classes for children from walking age to 11 years old. Coaches will guide cognitive, physical, and character growth aligned with the weekly curriculum and will interact with parents to explain the program’s philosophy.

Ideal candidates have coaching experience with kids, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Weekday evenings, weekends, and private events offer additional hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
• Experience coaching students within the KidStrong age range preferred.
• Experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred.
• CPR certified.
• Positive, motivating interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter who gets the job done.
• Comfortable in the spotlight.

Responsibilities

• Coach children aged walking to 11 years old across cognitive, physical, and character development.
• Explain the rationale behind KidStrong curriculum to parents/guardians.
• Follow the evolving weekly curriculum and schedule coaching hours.
• Increase hours through private parties and camps when available.
