Job summary

KidStrong Mississippi is seeking part-time coaches to work with children aged walking to 11 years, focusing on cognitive, physical, and character development through our weekly curriculum.

You will engage with parents to explain the curriculum and its benefits, while guiding classes in the 9am–11am and 3:45pm–7:30pm windows on weekdays and weekend slots, with potential for private sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
• Prior experience coaching kids in the KidStrong age range preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets a job done

Responsibilities

• Coach children on cognitive, physical and character development from evolving weekly curriculum
• Speak to parents/guardians about the why behind KidStrong curriculum
• Classes run Weekdays 9am-11am and evenings until 7pm; weekends start at 9am
• Weekend hours include Saturday 8:45am-1:30pm, 3:30-5:30pm, 5:30-7:30pm for parties
• Increase hours through private parties and camp coaching hours
• Prior pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus but not required
