Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an on-call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business customers across multiple U.S. cities. The role focuses on computer troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT services with opportunities for POS mounting and outdoor TV mounting.

The contractor will manage jobs flexibly, set availability, and operate as an independent 1099 professional, delivering timely and professional service with strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
