Job summary

Geeks On Site is actively seeking experienced Field IT Technicians to support residential and small business customers. The role focuses on computer troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT services, with potential POS and outdoor TV mounting work based on experience.

You set your availability, work locally, and join a nationwide team offering remote dispatch support and ongoing opportunities. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own required tools including a laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
