Job summary

The City of Urbandale is seeking part-time Building Attendants to help open, close, and secure recreation facilities during events, leagues and rentals. You will enforce policies, assist patrons, and support staff to ensure safe, smooth operations.

Roles are PRN with flexible hours across weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Prior experience in customer service is useful, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully complete post‑offer, pre‑employment checks (reference checks, background/motor vehicle report).

Responsibilities

• Open, close, and secure facilities at scheduled times.
• Monitor events and enforce facility guidelines.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and light custodial tasks.
• Serve as liaison between renters, participants, and staff.
• Take payments for rentals and complete reports as needed.
• Provide tours and information to public regarding rentals.
