Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field
• 1 year of experience working with children and families
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Ability to perform duties requiring strength, agility, and endurance in stressful conditions
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including homes with substandard conditions and pets

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support and teach practical skills to strengthen families
• Help families build stronger relationships and parenting skills
• Connect families with schools, healthcare, social services, and other community resources
• Provide crisis intervention and guidance
• Build relationships with families and collaborate with teachers, doctors, social workers, and other professionals
• Develop service plans, monitor progress, and maintain documentation
• Facilitate family decision-making meetings
• Pursue or support Parenting Instructor Certification
• Serve as a role model reflecting Boys Town’s mission and values
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
