Job summary

Almost Family, part of the Optum family, seeks a Homemaker/Companion to enhance quality of life for clients at home. You'll provide companionship, help with personal hygiene and light homemaking tasks, supporting independence in familiar surroundings.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license with insurance or reliable transportation; CPR preferred; 6+ months in home care; and flexibility to meet clients’ needs. Hourly pay ranges $14–$20.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or reliable access to transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience in home care is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship through reading, talking, listening and related activities.
• Perform errands and transport clients when necessary within state guidelines.
• Report unusual incidents or changes in client behavior or home situation to Agency Director.
• Perform homemaking duties such as cleaning, light meal prep and laundry.
