Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a Federal Work Study student worker at the Harold Washington Campus Career and Transfer Center. The role supports outreach, workshops, events, and the Career Closet while greeting students, staff and partners.

You must be a CCC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and eligible to work in the United States. Applicants should maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester new students) and be in good standing.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: must be 16 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Active enrollment in CCC among 6+ semester hours per term.
• Minimum 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester new students) and good standing.
• Not a current CCC employee; at-will employment.
• Must pass CCC hiring process including background check and drug screening for sensitive duties.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Career and Transfer Center when welcoming students, staff, employers and partners.
• Conduct outreach via classroom visits, tabling and phone calls.
• Assist with workshops and events: setup, registration, intakes and wayfinding.
• Support the Career Closet with flyers, digital outreach and social media content.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; provide excellent customer service.
