Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a Federal Work Study student worker for the Career and Transfer Center. You will welcome students, staff, employers, and transfer partners, and assist with outreach and event support on campus.

Responsibilities include helping with workshops, materials, and Career Closet operations, while demonstrating strong communication and customer service. Flexibility to work Mon–Thu is preferred, with compensation about $17.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Active enrollment at City Colleges of Chicago.
• Enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours (pre-credit or credit).
• Pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester).
• In good standing; no CCC academic restrictions.
• Not a current CCC employee.
• All positions are employment-at-will.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Career and Transfer Center by welcoming students, staff, employers and transfer partners.
• Conduct outreach including classroom visits, tabling and calls to students.
• Assist with workshops and events, including setup, registrations and wayfinding.
• Support the Career Closet operations, flyers, digital outreach and social media content.
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
