Job summary

Broulim's in Montpelier, Idaho is seeking a diligent Checker to provide efficient checkout services, process payments, and offer excellent customer service. You will scan, bag, and assist customers while maintaining a friendly store atmosphere.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist them with scanning and bagging items at the checkout counter.
• Ensure accuracy in scanning items, paying attention to prices and product codes.
• Process various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments, using a POS system.
• Provide assistance and information to customers regarding store policies, promotions, and products.
• Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including cleaning conveyor belts, scanners, and bagging stations.
• Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
