Job summary

Broulim's is hiring a Checker to join our Shelley, Idaho location. You will provide efficient checkout services, scan and bag items, process payments, and deliver friendly customer service to our shoppers.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, ensuring pricing accuracy, handling various payment methods, and helping with stocking when needed. This role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist them with scanning and bagging items at the checkout counter.
• Ensure accuracy in scanning items, paying attention to prices and product codes.
• Process various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments, using a POS system.
• Provide assistance and information to customers regarding store policies, promotions, and products.
• Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including cleaning conveyor belts, scanners, and bagging stations.
• Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
