Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver Best of the WEST customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, process purchases, and assist with merchandising to keep the store welcoming and well-stocked.

The role requires accurate cash handling, POS operations, and adherence to safety policies. The position supports daily store operations and may involve evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash/electronic transactions.
• Ability to lift/move merchandise during shifts.
• Safely use store equipment per policy, with age restrictions where required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Read/understand basic instructions and follow daily tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver the Best of the WEST service.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges accurately at the POS.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked sales floor.
• Assist with merchandising updates and price changes.
• Support store operations and follow company policies and procedures.
• Report safety concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Remain professional in appearance and punctual for shifts.
