Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support clients living independently at home. You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep and transportation to appointments.

This role involves on-call shifts and requires a caring, organized, and self-motivated caregiver. The position offers 40 hours per week with a weekend day minimum, and a starting wage of $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.
• 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed).
• On call for 24-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report on tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
