Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and people with disabilities at home. This on-call role offers 40 hours per week (20 guaranteed) with shifts including a weekend day, and assignments scheduled by a supervisor.

Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with personal care, transportation, household tasks, medication administration, and reporting changes. Must be 18+, pass background check, have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid license and proof of insurance if driving.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
