Job summary
Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. seeks Child Development Specialists to provide home-based early intervention for infants and toddlers.
You will conduct developmental assessments and deliver services in family homes, daycare centers, and community settings, following IFSP goals and using a Parent Coaching model. The role emphasizes caregiver coaching, confidentiality, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred/required for Orange County only in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field.
- Special education teaching credential may be required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model.
- Follow each child's IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
- Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers' confidence and skills and ensure progress generalization.
- Provide services in the child's natural environment, in homes, daycare centers and other community settings.
- Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
- Maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
