Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Hunterdon County is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to support seniors at home with compassionate, respectful care. You’ll work with 1:1 client assignments and set your own schedule, balancing life and work effectively.

The role includes training opportunities and potential tuition discounts through Rasmussen University. Applicants should have a high school diploma, NJ HHA registration, CPR, and a valid NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in New Jersey.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification.
• TB, MMR and HepB Vaccination information.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
