Medical Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Medical Front Office Associate to support our Durable Medical Equipment and Respiratory Care team. The role focuses on processing home medical equipment requests, guiding patients in selecting prescribed equipment, and ensuring accurate data entry for insurance approvals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for orders of respiratory care equipment, home medical equipment, and supplies.
• Gather information to fill orders and meet insurance requirements.
• Verify insurance benefits by contacting carriers for patients needing DME/respiratory equipment.
• Contact physicians to obtain/verify medical documentation for insurance coverage.
• Assist with initial and ongoing prior authorizations for respiratory patients.
• Process medical orders to refill supplies as requested.
• Help patients complete medical forms for insurance compliance.
• Be a resource for equipment, supplies, and services for referrals.
• Assist walk-in customers with equipment and supply selection.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and stocking of respiratory care and DME.
• Prepare and organize orders for delivery, setup, or pickup with technicians.
• Ensure patient charts are current and properly maintained.
• Comply with accreditation, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
