Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania is seeking a per diem Food Service Worker to support hospital meal services in a clinical setting. You will assist with food preparation, packaging, deliveries, and maintaining clean, sanitary service areas while adhering to regulatory standards.

This role operates on a flexible schedule with hours as needed. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and prior food-handling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior food handling experience preferred.
• Ability to read patient identifiers and tickets.

Responsibilities

• Perform food preparation, packaging, and deliveries within the foodservice area.
• Clean and sanitizes food service areas per management and regulatory requirements.
• Take and record temperatures of food and storage areas.
• Place food trays over warmers or store them in refrigerated cabinets.
• Handle cash depending on needs.
