Job summary

Becker & Company in Illinois is seeking skilled and experienced Field Investigators to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for a licensed investigator seeking flexible hours to provide expert investigative services for insurance claims including workers' compensation, fraud, and liability.

The investigator will conduct surveillance and SIU assignments within an assigned area, obtaining videotape documentation and completing cases as instructed by the case manager while

Qualifications

• Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
• Possess a current private investigator license (if applicable).
• Must be dependable and able to meet deadlines.
• Must be a self-starter capable of working with limited supervision.
• Possess investigative tools (Laptop, Video Cameras, Digital Recorder, etc.).
• Possess strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting surveillance as a field investigator.
• Experience completing SIU claim investigations.
• Possess a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to case manager instructions and assignment requirements.
• Review all case materials prior to investigative activity.
• Conduct video surveillance and collect covert footage as assigned.
• Secure statements, inspect scenes, perform activity checks, and gather documents.
• Record timely written notes on each case.
• Submit videotaped results, photographs, and recordings via email by the next business day.
• Meet deadlines and maintain client communication on progress.
• Ensure confidentiality of all information.
