Job summary

Access 2 Interpreters is seeking multilingual face-to-face interpreters in Columbus, OH. Use your language skills to assist at medical, social service and other appointments. This contractor role offers flexible hours and a chance to earn based on assignments completed.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali or Urdu, with high school diploma and US work eligibility. Training credentials or successful completion of an accredited program are desired.

Qualifications

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation at medical, social service and other appointments.
• Interpret in a professional, confidential manner for clients who speak Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali and/or Urdu.
