Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and community settings in Whiteville, NC. Schedule includes weekdays 4pm-9pm and weekend mornings. You will help with daily tasks, personal care, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meals, and personal care.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Plan and organize the client’s schedule with the care team.
• Document daily care and updates in the health record system.
