Community Access Unlimited in New Jersey is seeking a DSP Substitute to provide on-site care and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring health, safety, and well-being in a supportive environment. This on-site role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and being 18 or older.

Flexible evening, overnight, and weekend shifts with a minimum 30 hours per month in Union County.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Build meaningful, supportive relationships with individuals
• Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities (bathing, hygiene, etc.)
• Support with food shopping, menu planning, and meal prep
• Assist with fire drills, health & safety routines, and overall care
• Transport members to medical appointments, recreation, and community events
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with regulations
• Support social engagement and help arrange group activities
• Collaborate with families and staff for optimal care
• Attend trainings, meetings, and agency events as needed
• Ensure compliance with all background checks and required screenings
• Perform other duties as needed to support program success
