American Baptist Homes of the Midwest Chariton, Iowa is seeking Direct Support Professionals for flexible float positions. Earn $17.00 per hour with sign-on bonus and opportunities for PT & FT schedules across shifts.

Training is provided and no healthcare experience is required to start. As a Float Direct Support Professional, you will support residents across programs, build relationships, and help individuals live meaningful, independent lives in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driverss license with reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Previous medical, caregiving, healthcare, DSP, CNA, PCA, or related experience preferred.
• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Encourage independence with respectful, person-centered support.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming living environment.
• Monitor and report changes in residents0 health or well-being.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support.
• Float DSP to support across programs as needed.
