Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency in Frackville, PA is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will empower independence, promote safety and dignity, implement Behavioral Support Plans, and maintain accurate progress notes while following person-centered care and HIPAA guidelines. A compassionate, dependable demeanor with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and BSPs preferred.
• Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities
• Provide reliable transportation as needed
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies
