Job summary

Penn State University’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) seeks a proactive communications and donor relations professional based at University Park, State College, PA. The role combines articulating the university’s needs and mission with coordinating marketing efforts to cultivate leads, develop proposals, and steward donors.

You will collaborate with colleges, campuses, units and external vendors, manage lead tracking and assess cultivation activities, and help design tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with planned giving vehicles, tax laws regarding charitable giving, and donor tracking software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Articulate Penn State's needs, ambitions, and values through excellent informal and formal communications.
• Assist in evolving marketing efforts to generate, evaluate, cultivate, and solicit leads using technology.
• Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors on marketing efforts.
• Develop and produce communication tools, proposals and reports.
• Manage leads tracking and analyze results to evaluate marketing success and suggest enhancements.
• Coordinate stewardship of Atherton Society members and conduct thank-you calls.
• Research prospects and develop strategies to move prospects to donor status through cultivation and solicitation.
