Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You’ll assist with daily living activities, encourage participation in social events, and help clients achieve personal goals in a respectful, empowering environment.

Starting pay is $17/hour with potential variation by type of care; orientation provided and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work safely in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Document care and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team to ensure consistent, quality support.
