Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate in-home care in Tifton and surrounding areas. Join a team that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities stay at home with dignity.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and support independence while maintaining detailed records and coordinating with families and care teams in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Pass background check.
• Driver's license with valid auto insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Direct Support Professional certification or equivalent experience with I/DD.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks including hygiene, grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring and related tasks.
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encourage self-help activities and independence.
• Implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keep accurate daily documentation of activities, medications, and data tracking.
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
