Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to deliver compassionate, in-home care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work in a home-like setting, supporting daily living activities and promoting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Pass background check.
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance.
• High school diploma/GED.
• DSP certification; or equivalent education/experience with I/DD supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to clients in home settings.
• Foster positive relationships with individuals served and their support networks.
• Encourage self-help activities and support personal independence.
• Implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage behaviors through prevention or de-escalation.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation of activities, meds, and data.
• Transport clients to activities and appointments.
• Assist with errands and other duties as assigned.

Education

All Ways Caring HomeCare is looking for someone like you to join our team! As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.

• Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans
• Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/ disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, as well as other documentation.
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older
• Pass background check
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance
• High school diploma/GED
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
